Sunday dinner and meeting Kendra's friend Koda.

Chantel and Mckay are on Chantel's spring break so they have been spending a couple of days in Salt Lake and they came over on Sunday to visit.  Kendra also came over and brought her new boyfriend Koda.  This was the second time that Gary and I got to meet him.  Koda is very nice and he makes a great first impression.    Kendra seems to really like him.  I don't have too many pictures but I found one on instagram from when they went to  color festival.

Kendra and Koda took a funny picture of them for an April Fools joke for Koda's friend.  They were pretending they are engaged.  She sent it to me to freak me out.  She had a pretend engagement ring on.   Her comment was Guess what Mom?  It was funny but I figured it out that it was an April Fools joke because they really have not been dating that long.

We ended up playing games together that night as a group.  Chantel, Mckay, Dallan, Evan, Kendra, Koda, Jordan and me.  It was fun to interact and spend time together.

Another Weekend in Logan for A-Day at Utah State

Well this last weekend Jordan, Gavin and I went to Utah State to take Jordan to A-Day.  We had a great time.  We arrived Thursday evening and ate dinner with Chantel and Mckay at Firehouse Subs.  It was delicious.  Then Mckay and Chantel gave us a personal tour of the campus.  It was so fun to see Utah State with them sharing lots of memories and personal experiences.  We stayed at the Comfort Inn that night and then Friday we were off to A-day which is a tour type program.  The boys really enjoyed Utah State and I have a feeling that they are both thinking on becoming Aggies for next year.

My Birthday!

Today is my birthday and I had a wonderful day.  I woke up and Gary had a funny card for me in the bathroom.  Then I went downstairs and there were flowers and another card with a gift.  At work I had several people wish me a Happy Birthday.  It was sweet.  My kids also called me and wished me a Happy Birthday.  I got off work early and Lynn took me to lunch at Kneaders.  I loved my visit with her.  Later Gary had a date planned for me.  He picked me up and we went to Koi restaurant to eat and then he took me to see the new movie Cinderalla.  It was a wonderful birthday!

A wonderful visit to Logan to see Chantel and Mckay perform in a dance fund raiser.

Had a wonderful weekend in Logan watching my daughter and son in law perform in a dance fundraiser and competition between Elementary school teachers doing ballroom and other random types of dance.  Chantel and Mckay did a great job.  Many teachers and students came up afterwards and were so happy that she competed for their school.  Her students made the sign that she is holding.  We also got to visit the Reese family who were our neighbors when I was a young girl.  What a marvelous weekend in Logan.  We topped it off going to a session at the Logan temple.  My camera quit working so I did not get a picture at the temple but I put one on from the internet.

We also drove by the Brighton Temple and took pictures of the temple and tabernacle.  The new temple is beautiful!  We ate a wonderful chicken dinner at Maddox to celebrate Gary and my upcoming birthdays.

Yesterday was Kelsey's birthday and even though she is far away she got to celebrate her birthday with some members who made her a cake.  She is now 20 years old.  I sure miss my sweet daughter.  Here are some pictures from her mission:

Today we had Dallan and Kendra over for Sunday dinner with their roommates.  We had a steak dinner and had cake.  We decided to have a party for Kelsey with our holey cake.  Here are pictures from our celebration.  Happy Birthday to you Kelsey!!!

After dinner the girls and I went out and took some cute pictures:

Baby blessing for John Henry Rodriguez

Today we woke up early and drove to a baby blessing in Salt Lake City for John Henry Rodriguez.  Fernando gave his son a marvelous blessing and it was very tender.  They had a lady give a wonderful testimony about the Book of Mormon.  She was a single mom who was struggling for a while with two children and she talked about how the Book of Mormon really helped change her life.  Her spirit was so sweet.  She is now married again and has four children.  She is someone who is new in Lydia's ward.

After the sacrament meeting we drove to Lori's house for a luncheon.  Jenny Harris had flown in this week from Wisconsin to see both of her sister's babies.  It was so nice visiting with everyone.   I loved getting to hold the darling babies.  Lori's baby was just so calm and sweet.  John Henry loves to smile.  It was a nice day.  I had to take some pictures.
