Missionary Week!

Well this week we got to do something that we have never done before.  We got to have the missionaries over for dinner.  We had Elder McMullan and Elder Russell come over and we really enjoyed their company.  I felt it was my turn to pay it forward just a little for all those who are out feeding my missionaries.  These missionaries don't come around to our ward very often because they cover a Hugh area including two stakes.  It really was nice to get the opportunity to feed the missionaries. 

Sunday we actually had mothers talk and report on their missionaries for Sacrament meeting.  This is who they had speak:  Sister Susan Ostler to share about Elizabeth.  Shari Knudsen to share about Dallan and Kendra, Hyrum Tuiseina to share about his brother Dallin, Sister Dastrup to share about Matt, Diane Creighton to share about David and the last one was Brother Miner to talk about his daughter who is serving a mission. 

I was the second mom asked to get up and talk about my missionary kids.  I shared just a little of my thoughts on missionary work, and then shared a couple of motivational items from my kids emails and then I was to tell how it has helped our family to strengthen our testimonies.  Missionary work really is dear to my heart and it has really helped our family to have Dallan and Kendra out serving the Lord.  I look forward to both of their letters and I love the things they share with me.  It has really meant a lot to me.  I do believe it really has helped our family to work harder on having a better testimony and to read the scriptures more. 

This week has been a wonderful missionary week as you can see.
